Out of the same heartbeat that inspired my book Final Curtain Call — a journey through pain, healing, and God’s faithfulness behind the scenes; The Heart Behind the Curtain came to light.
When I began to write Final Curtain Call, I had no idea where the story would take me or where or how it would end. You see I wrote it all down in a journal for my children to read after I was gone. (dead). I was in a day-by-day situation of abuse, not knowing if I would even endure. I must say I did not always make good decisions. But I made the decisions I thought were best for me and my two boys to survive. So, over a span of forty years I continued in my journal that my children might understand why I made the choices I made. They were so young at the beginning, and I really wanted them to understand. What started as a release of grief and questions slowly became a testimony of hope and renewal.
No matter how lonely and devastating the stage of life becomes —- God is always there. He is working always behind the scenes preparing for us a way out. Our part in this play is to stand strong and realize that our timing is not God’s timing. All in due season, just stand and Trust.
Over the past year, I have heard from readers who said the book resonated with them and their personal stories in such a way as to help them feel seen, comforted, and even encouraged to begin their own healing process. OH, how that blesses me deeply. It also reminds me that everyone has a story. And the stories do not end when the last page is written, as we feel the curtain is slowly closed. No there is so much more: more growing, more trusting, more discovering our purpose, and the ways in which God redeems what was once lost. This is why I created this blog. A place where we can come together and talk about the heart behind the curtain; the raw real places where faith and everyday life meet. Some days I may share reflections on Scripture or lessons learned through hardships. I may simply share words of encouragement or maybe a glimpse into my personal journey of grace and growth.
It is my prayer that with each post you will feel like a friend that is welcome to join the conversation. An honest, hopeful, and rooted in love conversation that will help to uplift all of us.
If you have ever felt unseen, forgotten or unsure of how to continue forward, I want you to understand the YOU ARE NOT ALONE! God sees you. Your story is not complete. The next chapter is being written now. And it’s incredibly beautiful.
So, let’s lift the curtain together and discover the heart of what truly matters.
Feel free to bring your own stories to be shared. I want this to be a safe place for all.
With Love,
Rebamac
